Kiddie L. Russell, former California resident and current resident of Autumn Years Assisted Living passed away December 15, 2011 in Cartersville, Georgia. A graveside memorial service was held at Oak Hill cemetery, in Cartersville on December 17, 2011 with the Rev. Jeff Duvall officiating. Kiddie is preceded in death by her father, Otis Abercrombie, her mother, Lola Abercrombie, her brother, Coy Abercrombie, her husband, Robert L. Russell and her daughter, Roberta L. Wilson. Kiddie was born August 1, 1930 in Roswell New Mexico to John and Lola Abercrombie. They moved to California in 1936. Her father and mother were devoted Christians...Kiddie L. Her father was a pilot, mechanic and machinist at McDonald Aircraft Company and her mother was an artist and devoted gardener.Kiddie grew up on the southern California beaches and enjoyed family events on the beach. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1947. She was a supervisor for Laid Law Bus Company and moved to Georgia in June of 2003.Kiddie married her husband Robert L. Russell in Long Beach California on February 22, 1955 and was married for 42 years before he passed away in 1996.Her interests included family, friends, gardening, camping, sewing and reading.
