Born on Oct 15, 1925, in Elkart County, Indiana, Mrs Guerra met and married Roberto A Guerra in Kansas City, Missouri, on Jan 13, 1950.
In 1965, the family moved to Laredo, Texas, where she resided until her death.
Mrs Guerra was employed with Zuniga Engineering, where she worked as office manager, from 1979 until her retirement in 1990.
Mrs Guerra began attending Gates of Praise First Assembly of God Church in 1976, when it was founded under Pastor Ken Robison. She was active in the church, and she served as Secretary-Treasurer for ten years.
She was a sports fan. She played golf, and as a young woman she played professional baseball in a womens league. She learned how to fly and had a pilots license.
Mrs Guerra is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto A Guerra, her parents, Fannie Hollar Kaser and Carl E Kaser, her brothers, Welcome Stump, Noble Stump, and Gordon Stump, and her sisters Phyllis Lehman and Agnes DuChene.
She is survived by her 2 children, 2 grandchildren, sisters Lela Kveder of Casa Grande, Arizona, and Wava Sindler of Winder, Georgia, and her brother, John Stump (Dorothy) of Lake Wales, Florida.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at First Assembly of God Church, 6301 N McPherson, on Monday, Dec 5, from 5 to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be at First Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, Dec 6, at 11 am.
Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
