Sarah Ann Elizabeth Richardson Davis was the first child of William Henry Richardson, and Nancy Margaret Shupe Richardson. She married James M. Davis on June 11, 1874 in Marshall Co., Tennessee. Together they had 8 children.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. J.M. Davis whose death occurred Tuesday will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 P.M. from Little Flock church. Elders Cled E. Wallace and R.J. Smith will officiate at the church. Interment will occur in Little Flock Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis is survived by the husband, eight children, two sisters, and three brothers. C.J. Davis, Heidenheimer, W.C. Davis, Temple, and R.F. Davis, San Angelo are surviving sons. Mmes. J.R. Keele, Burnet, Pearl Smith, G.E. Bond, W.F. Fuller and Bettie McFarlin, Daughters. All to be present for the funeral.

Mmes. G.J. Shook, Temple, and Mrs. W.E. Brooks, Sherman are sisters of the deceased and Andy Richardson, Waco, George and Dock Richardson, Ennis, Brothers.

The death of Mrs. J.M. Davis, age 67, occurred at the family residence about four miles southeast of Temple yesterday at 6:30 p.m., terminating an illness of one month's duration. The husband and a number of children survive. The family is an old and highly respected one in Bell county, where the home has been for many years. Funeral arrangements had not been perfected at a late hour yesterday with the exception that it had been decided to conduct the funeral Thursday.
