Obituary - Temple Daily Telegram. W.O. Davis, 60, superintendent of the county home, died in a local hospital Thursday at 11:15 a.m. following a brief illness.

Born January 28, 1882, in Tennessee, he came to Texas with his parents in 1888, settling in Bell County. For 16 years he was employed by the Cooper Grocery Co. and later was with Scanjo and Todard for a number of years. For the past three and a half years, he had been superintendent of the county home. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Belton.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, David Davis of Rochester, N.W., and Ralph Davis of Orange; three daughters, Mrs. Leroy Reynolds of Temple, Mrs. Olin Covington of Temple and Mrs. Charlie Bridges of Belton; two brothers, C.J. Davis of Holland; R.F. Davis of Coleman; four sisters, Mrs. Betty McFarlin, Mrs. G.E. Bond, and Mrs. Pearl Smith and Mrs. Bill Fuller, all of Temple; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Seventh Street and Avenue O Church of Christ. R.J. Smith, assisted by C.H. Wiley of Belton will conduct the services. Burial will be in Hillcrest with Hewett in charge.

Pallbearers will be Frank Scanjo, Jo Todaro, W.H. Garner, L.E. Bush, Marvin Cowan and John Bowers.
