Eleanore Mary Damrau, 68, of Denton, Texas, passed away on Thursday evening, December 1, 2005, at The Vintage nursing facility in Denton. Eleanore was born to Albert and Mary Pehlke on June 16, 1937, in Chippewa Falls. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and UW-Stout. At the time of her death, she was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, Texas. Eleanore was actively involved in her church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She married James H. Damrau, Sr., on May 23, 1964, in Chippewa Falls.

Eleanore is survived by her husband, James H. Damrau, Sr.; daughter, Patricia Pflaum and husband, Colton; granddaughters, Rachel, Emma and McKenzie of Farmington, Minn.; son, James H. Damrau, Jr., and wife, Diane; granddaughters, Allison and Abigail of Corinth, Texas; sisters, Helen Will and husband, Rodney of Windom, Minn., and Mary Carol Cranford of Chippewa Falls; brothers, Albert Pehlke, Jr., of Mountain Home, Idaho, Robert Pehlke and wife, Joan of Chippewa Falls, Roger Pehlke and wife, Kathy of Medford, Marvin Pehlke and wife, Bridget of Spring Valley and Arnold Pehlke and wife, Kathy of Chippewa Falls.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Eileen Damrau, in January of 1969; parents, Albert and Mary Pehlke; sister, Mary Pehlke; and brother, John Pehlke.

Funeral services were held today at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, Texas, with interment at Tigerton Union Cemetery, Tigerton, Wis.

Eleanore’s family suggests memorial donations be made in Eleanore’s name to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247 to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, North Texas Chapter, 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 425, Dallas, TX 75251.

Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville, Texas, was in charge of arrangements.
