Born Feb. 4, 1932, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank Vernon Dreyer and Hilda Mae Thomas. He was the husband of Ruth O'Brockie Dreyer.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Robert E. Dreyer Jr. and wife Judy Alt Dreyer, and Jane Dreyer Hammen and husband Thomas C. Hammen; grandchildren Kathryn E. Kafka and husband Jeffrey W. Kafka, Margaret E. Francis and husband William C. Francis III, and Christine L. Hettling and husband Frederick Hettling III; great-grandchildren Jeffrey W. Kafka Jr., Keegan Hettling and Charlotte Mae Francis; and a sister, Virginia Dreyer Stenley.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 9215 Old Harford Road, Parkville. Interment will be in Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore.
