Mr. Miles was a resident of Sicily Island. He was a native of Bladon Springs, Ala., where he was born in September, 1859. His first wife, who was Miss Rose Francis, died March 26, 1907. His second wife, who was Miss Maggie Stephens, survives, as do 12 children. Mrs. Mary Williams, Columbia, Miss.; Elbert D., Hubbard A., Joseph S., Govie C., Jeff, Lee, Hardy, Mervin, and Mary Miles, Mrs. J. Boyette, Mrs. Horace Patten, all of Sicily Island; and one brother, Lee Miles, of Tioga.
Mrs. Miles was widely known and highly regarded by a large circle of friends.
