Janet J. Moore Markley Egielske, 76, of Rushville, passed away March 5, 2014 in Rush Memorial Hospital. She was born June 15, 1937 in Rush County to Wilbur & Marjorie (Rhoades) Moore. Janet was a 1956 graduate of Boggstown High School.

Janet worked as a waitress many years. She waitressed at the Firehouse Restraunt and the Elk's Lodge in Rushville, Frisch's Big Boy in Shelbyville, worked many years as a clerk at Deb & Bob's Video in Rushville and ran a daycare in her home for many years. She was a member of the Rushville Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Greg & wife Shirley Crouse of Buford, S.C., Mickey & wife Leslie Markley, Billy & wife Lisa Markley, Timmy & wife Sheila Markley all of Rushville and John "Pollock" & wife Michelle Egielske of Rush County, daughters, Marilyn Markley of Rushville, Mary Markley Harrah of Brownsburg and Jenny Egielske & husband Max Colestock of Homer, brothers, Robert & wife Debbie Moore and Max Moore & companion Becky Teegarden, sisters, Bevery Whittaker, Linda & husband Rodney Knarr, Deb Carolton and Diane & husband Tom Carolton, all of Rushville, 34 grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, William Markley & John Egielske, sisters, Mary Ruth Lee and Norma Lee, brothers, Sonny, Mike & infant Harold Moore and a son, Scott Alan Markley.

Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 10, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Josh Fennell presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 2-6PM on Sunday, March 9. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
