Michael L. Moore, 61, a long time Rushville resident, passed away at his home in Rushville early Wednesday, May 9, 2013.

He was born December 6, 1951 in Shelbyville to Wilbur & Marjorie (Rhoades) Moore. Mike was a 1971 graduate of Rushville High School. He had lived in Rushville for 40 years.

Mike worked for Stant Manufacturing in Connersville for nearly 30 years. He had worked at Crate & Pallate in Fountaintown for the last 10 years. Mike adored his grandkids. He loved iced tea & his dog, Taco.

Survivors include a son, Chad Allen & wife Christy Moore of Greensburg, a daugher, Amanda & husband Jamie Schiff of Greensburg, brothers, Robert & wife Debbie Moore & Max Moore & companion Becky Teegarden all of Rushville, sisters, Janet Egielske, Beverly Whittaker, Linda & husband Rodney Knarr, Deb "Buckwheat" Carlton and Diane & husband Tom Carlton all of Rushville, grandkids, Savanna Allen, Alexis McCord, Austin Schiff, Ethan & Addison Moore. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ruth Lee & Norma Lee, brother, Sonny Moore and infant brother, Harold Moore.

Services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, May 14 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Ryan Balser presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary on Monday evening from 4-8PM. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
