Adaline Mary "Addie" (Crouch) Warner (1850-1898)

Addie Warner passed away March 24, 1850 in Aurora, Lawrence, MO. She was born on March 24, 1850, in Pennsylvannia, the daughter of Samuel C & Harriet (Buck) Crouch.

She married Edwin H Warner on Nov 30, 1876 in Fayette, IL. He passed away after June 1900. (Last census he was listed in, June 1900, in Eagle Township, Payne, OK.)

Surviving are her parents, a step-daughter: Emma (Michael) Whitley, of Taney, two sisters: Almeda Jane (William) Bennett, of Deshler, Ohio; Nora (Tom) Boston, of Malheur, Ore., three brothers: John, Jim (Naomi), & George (Mary) all of Taney;

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Ann Rosetta & Anise Eliza and one brother Willie & possible a daughter Maggie & step daughter Carrie (death's unknown).

"She was a subscription schoolteacher in the 1890's at a local Taney County school. A subscription school was where parents paid $1 or $2 per child per month. Addie died while in her forties and is buried in Aurora, Missouri. She was Cherokee Indian."
