ANSONVILLE - Mrs. Delila Irvine, 73, of Ansonville, died at 9:05 p. m. Monday at Patton in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Phoebe Mertens, following a long illness.
She was born Dec. 15, 1885, at Bells Landing, a daughter of Thomas and Martha (Bell) Diehl. She was a member of the Past Grand Order of Lady Sloan Rebekah No. 498 of Ansonville.
Surviving are the following children: John W. Leonard, Lock Haven; Thomas F. Leonard, Ebensburg; Mrs. Margaret Barrett and Mrs. Phoebe Mertens, both of Patton; James R. Leonard, Grampian; and George A. Leonard, Curwensville.
Sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Frank Diehl of Ansonville, also survive. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin U. Leonard; her second husband, Robert M. Irvine; and a son, Robert H. Leonard.
Funeral services will be held from the Hunter-Lloyd Funeral Home at Irvona Thursday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Clifford C. Williams of Patton officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery at Kerrmoor R. D.
Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p. m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. and until time of service Thursday.
