Clyde Eckard, 55, died at his home Saturday, Nov. 11. He was born Oct. 8,1923 at Sugar Grove, son of Webster and Malinda Simmons Eckard. He was a member of Crummett's Run Church of the Brethren and Franklin Moose Lodge and was a construction worker. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ellen Wimer Eckard of Staunton, Va.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Brenda Franklin and Miss Cheryl Pollard, both of Staunton; one Stepson, Carl T. Pollard Jr. of Staunton; a brother, Eldon Eckard of Sugar Grove; a niece, and a step-granddaughter. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell. Interment was in Crummett's Run Church Cemetery.
