Noah Webster Eckard, 80, died Sunday evening, March 5 at his home at Sugar Grove, W.Va. A son of Noah W. and Pheobe Simmons Eckard, he was born in Pendleton County, W.Va. March 17, 1886. Surivors are two sons, Eldon and Clyde Eckard both of Sugar Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Simmons of Mt Solon; and Mrs. Granville Puffenbarger of Headwaters; a brother, Pinckney Eckard of Bridgewater; and one grandchild. His wife, Malinda Eckard, died last year. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Crummett's Run Church by the Rev. H.S. Craig and Jimmy Robertson, Interment was in the church cemetery with arrangements by Obaugh Funeral Home.
