Antanas Barčys, son of Rokas Barčys and Magdalena Šlėgaitytė was born on March 24, 1825 in the village of Kalnėnai. He was baptized on the same day in the Jurbarkas RCC by the vicar priest Vincentas Giedraitis. The godparents were Baltramiejus Laurinaitis and Magdalena Soročkaitė (page 288)

He left behind his son Juozapas and daughter Petronėlė. His body was buried on February 27, 1909 by the vicar priest Stakauskas in the parish cemetery (rec. no. 31, page 160)
