George "Jud" Nance, 76, of Guymon; passed away Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The son of James and Grace (Radcliff) Nance, he was born August 28, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas.

Jud attended school in Forgan, Oklahoma, Beaver, Oklahoma and Liberal, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Mary Lee Voss on March 23, 1973 in Ellinwood, Kansas.

He moved to Ellinwood from Tyrone, Oklahoma in 1973. Mr. Nance was a auto mechanic the majority of his working life, and owned and operated his own auto shop in Ellinwood for several years. In October of 2009 he and Mary Lee moved to Guymon and have been residents since.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Will Lovelace, and one sister, Donahope Nobles.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Nance of the home; seven children: Leslie Cairns and husband, Steve of Pueblo, Colorado; Barbara Washington and husband, George of Wichita, Kansas; Karla Ledesna and husband, Alfred of Amarillo, Texas; Tammy Kerr and husband, Bryan of Amarillo, Texas; Linda Lunsford and husband, Jerry of Guymon; Rhonda Atkins and husband, Dennis of Hooker, Oklahoma, and Wayne Fagala and wife, Kathy of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Survivors also include 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Ogletree of Baker, Oklahoma; two brothers, Richard Nance and wife, Charlene of Topeka, Kansas, and Carl Nance and wife, Joyce of Dodge City, Kansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, February 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon First Baptist Church with Wayne Fagala and Carl Nance officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The Nance family request memorials be given to the Memorial Hospital of Texas County. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
