Mary Margaret A. McChesney was the daughter of James McChesney and Francis McNutt. James Paine married her to Edward Lewis on 9 Oct 1867 in Rockbridge Co., VA. Edward was first married to her sister, Frances Ann Louisa McChesney, who died in 1865.

Her husband Edward, born Aug. 24, 1838 in West Virginia, died Jun. 10, 1902 in
Roane County per his WV Death Record.
