Elizabeth or Eliza O'Neal was the sixth of eleven children, and fifth daughter, born to Kindred O'Neal (c. 1785-1855) and his wife Culia Hayles (1790s-1840s), of Anson County, NC. She was still in her father's house in 1850, but sometime between the 1850 census and her father's death in 1855, she married John V. Gregory (c. 1829-?). By 1860, he was remarried and living in South Carolina, so Elizabeth died sometime between 1855 and 1860, either in Anson County, NC or Marlboro Co., SC. She had at least one son, Ellis William Gregory (1853-1922). John V. Gregory served in the Confederate Army.

I do not know exactly when Elizabeth/Eliza died, or where she was buried, but I believe it's likely she'd have been buried here with her parents and siblings.
