Miss Callie Moreland
Dies in Sister's Home
In Minden on April 5
Miss Callie Moreland, 54, resident of Minden since 1902, died in the home of her sister, Mrs. D.D. Lunsford of Minden, on Thursday, April 5.
Funeral services were held for Miss Moreland, a member of the local First Baptist church, in the Green-Kleinegger chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday. She was buried in the Minden cemetery.
Reverend Truman Aldredge, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated at the last rites, being assisted by Rev. Ira W. Flowers, pastor of the First Methodist church and Rev. L.K. Hartsfield, pastor of the Parkway Baptist church.
Pallbearers were Will Lunsford, Charlie Lunsford, Tinsley Connell, Bobby Turner, S.C. Gibson and Elmer Jeter.
Besides Mrs. Lunsford, Miss Moreland is survived by two brothers, R.G. and W.A. Moreland of Minden, twelve nieces and three nephews.
