Lyndall Worthington, 80, of Avella (Blaine Twp), died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in the Washington Hospital.

She was born September 1, 1930, in Claysville, a daughter of Carl and Alma Jackson Hertig.

She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Claysville.

Mrs. Worthington was a 1948 graduate of Claysville High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed working with her horses and gardening.

On June 18, 1949, in Claysville, she married Jack Worthington, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Barbara (Bob) Conkle, of Scenery Hill, Deborah (Bill) Bowersock, of Wellsville, OH, Pamela (Dan) Buchleitner, of Avella, and Jacqueline Worthington, of Avella, two brothers, Lyle (Billie) Hertig, and Michael (Donna) Hertig, a sister, Cheryl (Dave) Biesdich, ten grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Conkle, Gina (Kevin) Leslie, Justin (Jackie) Conkle, Casey (Kendra) Bowersock, Chad (Lori) Bowersock, Cole Bowersock, Cylee Bowersock, Mandy (Brad) Sovich, Kristen (Chad) McGowan, and Shane Buchleitner, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a brother, Carl Hertig, and a sister, ONile Cokel.

Friends will be received Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, in Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, 219 Main St, Claysville, where services will be held Friday, January 7, at 12:00 PM, with Rev. Rico Vespa officiating. Interment will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Zion United Methodist Church or Claysville Volunteer Fire Department.
