Preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel, Henry, James, George, and Calvin Green; and one sister, Brenda Green.
Anna as she was often called was a graduate of Jackson P. Burley High School and was employed at the University of Virginia Medical for 30 years. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Buck Island, Virginia. Recently she joined Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church, Charlottesville, Virginia. She enjoyed planting flowers, bird watching, working cross word puzzles, crocheting, sitting in the sun, playing her favorite game candy crush and enjoyed sightseeing rides with her devoted friend John Gaines.
She leaves to cherish her memory her precious children a daughter, Pamela Green; twin sons, Denny and Danny Carter; a devoted friend of 30 years, John Gaines; two brothers Harold Green and Walter Green; two sisters, Mary Lewis and Jeanette Green; one uncle, two aunts, eleven grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church, 105 Lankford Avenue, Charlottesville, Virginia, with Dr. Alvin Edwards officiating.
