TURUS F. SOUTHERN
Tunis Floyd Southern, 90,
of 37 8th St., N.W., died Sunday
in Pulaski Community
Hospital.
Born in Hiwassee, Aug. 7,
1902, he was the son of the
late Floyd Allen Southern
and Valeria Grantham
Southern.
He was preceded in death
by his wife Blanche Smith
Southern. .
After the death of .his
father, he was associated in
business with his mother on
Main Street from 1922 until
1940. Their firm name was
Mrs. V.F. Southern and Son,
selling ladies ready to wear
clothing. In his later years he
was a real estate broker.
He was a member of the
First United Methodist
Church, Pulaski..
Surviving are two nieces,
Mrs. George (Isabel Gilmer)
Armbrister and Mrs. William
(Dorothy Gilmer) Davison,
both of Knoxville, Tenn.
Graveside funeral services
will be held Wednesday at 11
a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery,
with Rev. George W. Armbrister
officiating.
The family will receive
friends at the Cemetery at
the conclusion of the service.
Thomas M. Seagle & Sons
Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in
charge of arrangements.
