Lonaconing-Felix Thurman Foote Jr. 79 of 38 Florida Way, died Wednesday January 6, 1992 at Frostburg Hospital.
Born in Lonaconing Dec. 19, 1912 he was the son of the late Felix foote Sr. and Agnes (dick) Foote.
Mr. Foote was employed by the Celanese Fibers Corporation as a laboratory technician and worked there for 44 years before his retirement. He also worked as a Fuller Brush Salesman for 43 years. He was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church, where he was superintendent of the Sunday School for more than 25 years, served on the church board, and sang in the choir.
Mr. Foote was a member of the Senior Citizens of George's Creek, the George's Creek Valley Lodge 161, AF&AM, the Lonaconing Rotary Club, where he served as secretary for many years and was past president, and the Valley V Club, Lonaconing.
A member of he George's Creek Community Choir he participated in the Potomac Concert Band and had his own orchestra. He was manager of the Aristocrats. Mr. Foote was a former member of the September Singer, the Lonaconing City Band, the Ali Ghan Shrine, and the Shrine Band.
Surviving are his wife, Annazell (Stevens) Foote, one son Wayne T. Foote, Cumberland one daughter Colleen Rotruck, Keyser, W.Va., six grandchildren and two sisters, Beatrice Chaney, Laurel and Naomi Lyons, Keyser.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and Friday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home.
George's Creek Balley Lodge 161, AF&AM will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Thursday at 7:30 P.M.
Services will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing, on Friday at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Bernadette Ross officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 A.M. Friday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to First Untied Methodist Chruch, Lonaconing, Md. 21539.
