Mother of Congressman Richard N. Elliott. The deceased was a pioneer resident of Fayette county, having been born in Fairview township, October 13, 184l. She was the daughter of Richard and Margaret Nash, and was the last of a family of eight children. On January 19, 1864, the deceased was married to Charles W. Elliott, of Jackson township. Until several months ago, Mrs. Elliott had resided at the family home, in Jackson township. The husband died June 8, 1991, and three children, Lorena M., Daisy and Charles W. Jr. also preceded her in death. Gregg Banks, who was reared from a boy of 11 years by Mrs. Elliott, also survives. Mr. Banks lives on the Elliott farm southwest of the city.
