Maurice Con, 72, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Altoona Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Maurice was born January 2, 1942 to Maurice Conn and Betty Jean Conn. He retired from Younkers after 30 years of service in their delivery department. He was a 20 year member of the Younkers Club and earned several Goodwill Ambassador Awards through them. Maurice enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, country music and watching cardinals. He was handy and enjoyed remodeling projects. Maurice was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. He loved playing checkers and making french fries with his granddaughter.

Maurice is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mildred; children, Tina Conn, Maurice Conn and Christina (Bryan) Reimers; granddaughter, Heather Reimers; grandson, Joseph Daniel; brothers, Scotty and Robert Conn; sisters, Peggy (Edward) Allen and Linda (Bill) Brewer; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
