Mrs. Elvira Findley, who lived six miles south of Atchison died last night, age 78 years. Her death occurred at the home of son, John D. Findley, with whom she made her home. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis that Mrs. Findley had eight years ago. She has never left her bed since that time, and has never been able to use her left limb. During all that time she has been a most patient sufferer and never complained of her terrible affliction. Mrs. Findley was born in Jackson county, Mo., in 1832. Her husband W. C. Findley, located on the farm where his wife died in 1854 and April 11, 1855 he moved his family from Oregon, Missouri, to that location. He died on the home place several years ago. Mrs. Findley leaves three children John D. Findley, and Misses May and Myrtle Findley, both of whom are at home. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, Rev. Z. E. Bates officiating. Burial in Round Mound cemetery.
