Mrs. Martha A. Coleman, 67 years old, died at a hospital in Savannah Friday morning at 9 o'clock. Mrs. Coleman was a resident of Toombs County, living midway between Lyons and Vidalia. She was sick for a month before her death. Mrs. Coleman was born near New Hope Church in Emanuel County, October 14, 1860, a daughter of James and Sarah Yeomans. She was married November 4, 1880, to Moses M. Coleman of Swainsboro, Ga. She was the mother of ten children, five surviving her...In 1896, moving from Emanuel to what is now Toombs County...She operated a millinery store in Lyons...Interment was at Lyons Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, M. M. Coleman, Sr., one sister, Mrs. Sarah Rountree, of Stillmore, Ga., Ephraim Yeomans, of Lexy, Ga., three sons, Gary Coleman, Moses Coleman, Jr., of Lyons, and B. C. Coleman, of Savannah, two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Gibbs, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. C. N. Rountree of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
