Richard Hodgkins Presque Isle 55. Died 2-13-1988 at his Presque Isle residence. He was born in Presque Isle 5-3-1932 the son of Herman and Alice (Hardy) Hodkins. He graduated from PIHS in 1951. He was a well known sportscaster in Aroostook County for over 27 years. He was sports director at WEGP and WTMS radio station in Presque Isle. He had also been a sports writer for the Presque Isle Star Herald. He was the recipient of the 1986 Broadcaster of the Year Award. He was a very avid supporter of both team and individual sports in Aroostook County and especially in the Presque Isle area. He is survived by a brother, Robert of Oakland, CA., a uncle, Warren Hardy of Caribou, a great aunt, Mrs. Lois Conant of Presque Isle and several cousins. Burial Fairmount cemetery.
