Juanita Johnson Banks, 88, of Lynchburg, VA departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Campbell County on October 10, 1925 to the late Milton and Sarah Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Banks, Sr. and son, Marion Banks, Jr.
She was a member of St. James CME Church where she served as an usher until her health failed her.
She leaves to mourn two sons, Milton Banks of Lynchburg, VA and Michael (Diane) Banks, Sr. of Rustburg, VA; two grandchildren, Tonya Banks of Charlotte, NC and Michael Banks, Jr. of Greensboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Frances Banks of Lynchburg, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Community Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Clarkstown Cemetery. The family is receiving friends and the cortege will assemble at 115 Chapel Lane. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
