Mrs. Anna Getz, 78, Janesville resident since 1926, died Sunday in her home, 1511½ Ravine St., after a long illness. The former Anna Rupp, daughter of Jacob and Margaret Rupp, was born in Hayes, Kan., March 8, 1886. She was a member of the Salvation Army, Women's Home League and Sunday school of the Salvation Army. Surviving are her husband, Alex Getz, whom she married in Kansas; two sons, Salvation Army Maj. Robert Getz, Chicago, and Harry Getz, Erling, Germany; four daughters, Mrs. George Washer, Detroit, Mrs. Alden McCardle, Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Floyd Mork and Mrs. John Cantwell, both of Janesville; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jacob Rupp, Great Bend, Kan. Three sons predeceased her. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Reining Funeral Home, Maj. Bernard McNichol, Salvation Army, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening.
