Stanley Evans McDonald
Stanley Evans McDonald, 76, of Summers School Road, Morgantown, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at home after a short illness.
He was born April 26, 1924, in Morgantown, son of the late Harry and Adibelle Hilling McDonald.
He worked for Greer Limestone for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Isabell Davis McDonald; a son and spouse, Larry and Deborah McDonald, of Summers School Road; a stepdaughter and companion, Shirley Myers and Danny Fox, both at home; two brothers, Joseph McDonald, of King wood Pike, and Wayne McDonald, of Mountain Heights; two sisters, Georgia Hilling, of Beulah Road, and Betty McDonald, of Westover; two grandchildren and spouses, James and Julie McDonald, and Timothy and Erin McDonald; and a great-granddaughter, Brittani e Dawn.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd McDonald; eight brothers, Arnold McDonald, Archie McDonald, Ernest McDonald, Brooks McDonald, Paul McDonald, John "Ken" McDonald and Abe McDonald; and a sister, Anna Maust.
Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday; and at Nicholson Chapel Church from 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, until the 10 a.m. service with William Fichtner officiating. Burial will be in Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
