June (Burdette) Cicero, 82, of Ford City, a former long-time resident of Kittanning, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at ACMH Hospital, East Franklin. She was born June 2, 1924, in Ford City to John and Flora (Utley) Burdette.

In her earlier years, Mrs. Cicero, did the clerical work for her late husband when he was the manager of the former Cicero's Roller Rink of Kittanning. She was a 1944 graduate of Ford City High School.

She was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Kittanning.

She enjoyed many years of roller skating and also taught classes. She also enjoyed talking on the CB and her handle was "June Belle."

At the time of her death, survivors included one son, John R. Cicero and wife Michelle, of Kittanning; one daughter, M. Kathy Lamison and husband Kirby, of Kittanning; seven grandchildren, Stacey Rybarik, Holly Rybarik, Tiffany Lira and husband Larry, Morgan Cicero, Noah Cicero, Joshua Cicero and Sye Cicero; seven great-grandchildren, Jason McIntyre, Chelsea Pyle, Zack Baum, Kierstin Baum, Macy McCausland, Alexis Lira and Rylee Lira; and one sister, Lucy Murray and her husband Ralph, of Gladstone, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sylvester C. "Sy" Cicero, whom she married June 23, 1948, and who died May 20, 1998; five brothers; Robert, Wallace, Elmer, Elmer, and Karl Burdette; and four sisters, Isabelle Best, Ruth Weaver, Floda "Flo" Karns, and one sister, who died in infancy.

The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday with her pastor, the Rev. Emil Payer officiating. Burial in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin.
