Marie M. Stephens, 88 of Glenallen, MO died July 3, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born July 14, 1914, near Lutesville, MO, daughter of Monroe and Julie E. (Shell) James.
She and Milford Ross Stephens were married Feb. 19, 1932. He died Nov. 6, 1981.
She attended the Lutesville Church of God.
Survivors include a son, John Stephens of Glenallen, MO; five daughters, Louella Reutzel of Jackson, MO; Wilma Stratton of Cape Girardeau, MO; Juanita Whitesell of Marble Hill, MO; Shirley Farrow of Alton, IL; and Mary Brown of Glenallen, MO; a brother, Estel James of Marble Hill, MO; a sister, Virgie Healy of Marble Hill, MO; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, four brothers, four sisters and a grandson.
The funeral will be Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
