Linda Gillispie Dickerson, age 53, of Collinsville, died Sunday, February 2, 2014, in Wake Forest Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. Born September 25, 1960, in Martinsville, she was a daughter of the late Emory Lee Gillispie, Sr. and Geraldine Lawson Gillispie. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Claire Sturgill.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Michael Benales, her son, Andrew Christian Sturgill, her grandson, Konner Sturgill, her brother, Emory Lee Gillispie, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL.
The funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett with Steve Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park.
