Jesse Truman Humphreys Graveside services for Jesse Truman Humphreys, 88, of Angleton, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 11, 1997, in the Angleton Cemetery with Brother C. A. Thomas officiating. Mr. Humphreys passed away Sunday, December 7, 1997, at his residence. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., today, December 10, 1997, at Palms Funeral Home.
He was born April 16, 1909 in Colorado City, Texas to John and Emma Humphreys. He was a retired operator for Dow Chemical and had lived in Angleton for 56 years. Mr. Humphreys was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his sons, Monty Humphreys and wife, Kathleen of Angleton and Jesse "Gene" Humphreys of Angleton; sister, Francis Basel of Dryden, New York; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas.
