Mrs. Ada B. Chamberlain, 73, of 627 Liberty St., died at 1:25 am today at Grandview Extendicare where she was admitted Oct 13. She had been in failing health in recent months. A natove of Woodbury, PA, she was born July 5, 1904, daughter of John and Amanda Kockendarfer Perrin.
She spent her early years in Woodbury, attending public schools. She was an active member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for many years, holding membership in the King's Daughters Sunday School class. When her health began to decline, she began attending the Seventh Street Church of God near her home and was a member of the Helping Hands Sunday School class there.
She married Chester A, Chamberlain April 10, 1926, and they came to Franklin in 1941. He survives, with six daughters: Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Harris and Mrs. Gloria Phipps, both of Franklin; Darlene Chamberlain, Nyack, NY; Mrs. Sara Jensen and Mrs. Dale (Shirley) Hammerlee, both of Findlay Lake, NY; and Mrs. Ronald (Audrey) Cole of Titusville; twelve grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs, Charles (Mary) Flagg of Martinsburg, and Mrs. Orville (Alma) Lynn, Williamsburg; and a brother, Oscar Perrin of Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, three sisters, and one son.
Services will be at Frank S. Huff Chapel with Rev. Floyd McFarland, Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and Rev. Glenn Beatty of Seventh Street Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery.
