Henry L. Witz, 80, R.R. 5, Shelbyville, Hendricks Township, died at 12:53 a.m. today at Major hospital, where he had been admitted Saturday.
A retired farmer, Mr. Witz lived the greater portion of his life in Shelby County.
He was a member of the West Street United Methodist Church.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Carmony Funeral Home here with the Rev. Hobert Todd officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. Friday.
Born Feb. 7, 1890, in Union Township, Mr. Witz was the son of Joseph and Caroline (Haehl)Witz. On Dec. 30, 1914, he married Sara A. Miller, who died Jan. 25, 1970.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Stanley J.(Winifred)Kloris, Chicago, Mrs. Hubert (Hentietta)Spurlin, Shelbyville, Mrs. Melville(Virginia)Troyer, ///////////////////plymouth, Mich, and Mrs. Robert W.(Carolyn)LaVanchy, Speedway; two sons, Henry L. Witz Jr., Princeton, N.J., and Wilfred M. Witz, Mankato, Minn.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Witz, R.R. 6, Shelbyville, and three sisters, the Misses Pauline Witz and Edna Witz, R.R. 6, Shelbyville, and Miss Rosa Witz, Shelbyville.
One brother and two sisters preceded in death.
