Mr. Flaherty was born March 17, 1888, in Boston, Mass., the son of Peter and Mary Lydon Flaherty. He was a retired iron worker and a member of the Church of the Assumption in Bloomingburg.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Assumption. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
Mr. Flaherty is survived by two brothers, Frank and Thomas of High View; one sister, Mrs. Anna Fox of High View; and several nieces and nephews.
