Mrs. Bernard Aumen
Mrs. Bertha M. (Smith) Aumen, 78, Abbottstown R.1, died at the Hanover Hospital at 6:25 Saturday morning.

A native of Adams County, a daughter of the late William G. and Annie F. (Noel) Smith, she was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Abbottstown R.D., the Rosary Society, and the Miraculous Medal Association of Philadelphia. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Gettysburg.

Her husband, Bernard F. Aumen, died in December 1972.

Surviving are 11 children: Bernard F. Aumen Jr., Hanover; Rev. Paul J. Aumen, Guatemala, Central America; Sister Paula Mary, RSM, Harrisburg; Mrs. Regis W. Gebhart, New Oxford; Phillip A. Aumen, Abbottstown R. 1; Mrs. Theresa E. DelRosso, Lakewood, O.; Thomas E. Aumen, Fairview R.1, Mich.; Mrs. John J. Kuhn, Abbottstown R. 1; Lawrence E. Aumen, New Oxford R. 1; Mrs. William G. Hull, York New Salem; Adrian A. Aumen, Spring Grove R. 3; 45 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Sister Margaret Mary, RSM, Harrisburg.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning with meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford, at 9:15 to go to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o'clock, with Rev. John Campion officiating. Internment will be in the Conewago Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in New Oxford Tuesday evening from 7 to 9, and the Rosary will be recited there at 8 o'clock.
