Gerald Faye Hollingsworth, 86, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Keller Church of Christ, 205 Elm St. Interment: 2:30 p.m. in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller. Gerald was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Sanger to James Newton and Mamie Ella Hollingsworth. He graduated from Sanger High School and Texas Christian University. In 1949, he married his high school sweetheart, Wanda Schertz. Gerald was a member of the Keller Church of Christ for 50 years and held many offices in Keller Masonic Lodge #1084, along with offices in Fort Worth Scottish Rite. He served in both fraternities for more than 50 years, receiving his 33rd degree in 2003. Gerald also served as high priest and twice illustrious master in the chapter and council of the Royal Arch Masons. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He spent many hours volunteering for charitable organizations. He retired from General Dynamics in 1990, being employed there for 31 years. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Francis and Cecil Bryan. Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Wanda; children, Steve, Jackie and Jim Hollingsworth; brother, Ross Hollingsworth and his wife, Mary; and a host of nieces and nephews.
