It has not been proven that Adam was buried here in the VanBebber Family Graveyard. However he passed after his father who is buried here so this is the most likely place of burial.

His will was probated 11 May 1857 Ray Co., Missouri. However one of three things may have happened. 1st of all Adam is not found in the 1850 Ray Co., Missouri census so he may have passed late 1849 or early 1850 as his wife and daughter were listed living with her parents. His wife was listed as married not widowed! 2nd He and his wife may have been separated pending divorce! 3rd There were also rumors that some of the Baker brothers went to California for the 1849 Gold Rush but, no names were given or any real proof.
