The cause of death is said to have been from the overdose of morphine. His Civil War Pension papers read, "Afflicted with gastic neuralgis & was in the habit of taking tincture of opium to reduce pain, but cause of death was from overdose of morphine."

The area which the Ron Mease Farm that once was the farm of Henry & Saline Baker is called Baker's Hole near Galena, Stone Co., Missouri. There are three or four graves in the cemetery and thanks to Carl Morgan (Butch) for all the information, photo's and finding his great great grandparents Henry Clay Baker & Salina Brooks Butler farm and burial sites.
