Lorene Fleming Adams, 90, of Martinsville, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Stanleytown Rehab Center. She was born in Martinsville, March 15, 1923, to the late Paul W. Fleming and Lillie Wade Fleming. She retired from DuPont with over 40 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Adams, a daughter, Jo Ann Adams; sisters, Irish Rose Fleming and Magdalene Grogan; brothers Paul W. Fleming Jr. and Roger Fleming.
Surviving are her son, Jerry Adams of Martinsville; brother, Wade Fleming of Lancaster, Va.; sister-in-law Aileen Fleming; grandson, Gary Adams and wife, Laura Beth; granddaughter Melinda Adams; great- grandchildren, Samuel Adams and Madelyn Adams.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
