J. Floyd Wheeler
J. Floyd Wheeter, 86, of Flora, died at 8:38 a.m. Friday in the Woodlawn Hospital at Rochester, where he had been a patient for six weeks.
Born in Flora, August 9, 1863, he was the son of James N. and Margaret (Jordan) Wheeler. He was married to Ada Nowels, who preceded him in death February 20, 1968. A retired employe of the J.M. Wheeler and Sons Auto Agency, he was a member of the Flora Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Joe G. Wheeler of Indianapolis and James F. Wheeler of Rochester; one brother, Fred H. Wheeler of Delphi, one sister, Mrs. Osta Trent of Lafayette; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One son and three sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the Leiter-Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Rev. Elbert H. Smith Jr. officiated and burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
