Brian Caddo, 56, of La Porte, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home in LaPorte.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home.
Brian was born Marc h 5, 1957 in Michigan City to Vernon and Margaret (Dabkowski) Caddo. His father is preceding him in death and his mother is surviving in Michigan City.
On October 9, 2012 in LaPorte, Indiana he married Barbara Robbins who is surviving in LaPorte.
Also surviving are two children: Ashley (Ray) Metheny of La Porte and Adam (Stephanie) Caddo of Orlando, FL; four step-children: Cheryl (Andy) Taylor of Chippewa Lake, MI; Tim (Pam) VanAlstine of Barrinton, MI; Karen (Lori) VanAlstine of Farwell, MI and Sally (Justin) Cavender of Chippewa Lake, MI; two grandchildren: Adison and Rylee; thirteen step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Diana (John Falvey) Butts of LaPorte, Janice (Tom) Moeker of LaPorte and Peggy Caddo of Michigan City; and two brothers: Keith (Deanna) Caddo of Michigan City and Bruce Caddo of Michigan City.
Brian was a retired bricklayer for Ziolkowski and Union Local #81.
While his kids were growing up he was a 4-H parent. He enjoyed going to Florida, fishing and spending time with his family.
