Mr. Garland Ralph Alley, age 93, of Wesley Mtn. Dr., Blairsville passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 in Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was born March 9, 1920 in Brady, TX to the late John Alford and Alva Pearce (Rasco) Alley. Mr. Alley was a WWII U S Army veteran. He moved here 5 years ago from Galveston, TX. He was a person that always helped other people. Mr. Alley was preceded in death by his wife, Rosamond Parker Alley in 2013 and a daughter, Patsy Sharon Pillsbury. His faith was Salvationist.
Survivors include brother-in-law, Franklin Parker and his wife Lynda of Murphy, NC, grandchildren, Hugh Augustus Pillsbury and Susan Pillsbury.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers make memorials to the Gideon's International in Mr. Alley's memory.
