He was born in Houston, Texas to Edward and Dorothy Everett. Mr Everett was in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in combat in WW II and the Korean war in numerous campaigns and decorations. He retired from the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. He then went to work for the postal service and retired from it also. Mr. eEerett was a member of the american legion and a lifetime member of the postal workers union. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Rose Everett, children: Johnny Lyndsey Everett and wife, Elaine, of Indian Springs, NV, Claudia Elaine Amen and husband, Rodney, of Paul, Idaho and Howard Ray Everett; step-children: Brenda G. Strickland of Conroe, TX, Tameron M. Sanchez of Kilgore, TX, Jimmy R. Strickland of Benton, AR, and Lisa A. Belt of Camden, AR; brothers: Raymond D. Everett, Charles C. Everett and Wilbur G. Everett; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
