We rescued Charlie in November 2012. He was a stray that showed up on the doorstep at one of our friends house. He hung around and they didn't want him so we took him in. We're not sure how old he was at the time but the vet guessed him to be between 6 and 9 months. He was a joy to have. He got along very well with our other 3 cats and our dog. He loved to play with anything that he could get his paws on. We enjoyed his playfulness and sweetness for a little over a year. We tried to keep him indoors but sometimes he ran out before we could catch him. This was one of those times. Around 5 am this morning, my husband found Charlie along the highway. His final resting place is close to our front porch, next to the bush he liked to climb.
