LILLIAN J. RHODES, 78, of Memphis, retired teacher for Harding Academy, died Saturday at American Transitional Rehabilitation and Specialty Care after a stroke. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East. She was a member of White Station Church of Christ and Life Group Cosmetology Association of Tennessee. Mrs. Rhodes, the widow of Douglas C. Rhodes, leaves two sisters, Ilene Zapalac of Millington and Lottie Mae Taylor of Memphis, and a brother, C. L. Leatherwood of Memphis. (Published in The Commercial Appeal on November 21, 1999)
