The family immigrated to the US around 1883 or 84 when she was 2 or 3 years old. Caroline married John Snyder on April 2, 1902 when she was 20 in Caledonia, Michigan. They had six children in 13 years. She died on November 9, 1925, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 44, and was buried in Alpena, Michigan. She had been taken to the hospital in Ann Arbor for treatment and the cause of death was acute fibrinapurulent peritonitis following choledochenterostomoy, paralitic ileus.
