"Fetzer" was a banjo-picker and a former construction worker, fire warden and coal miner. He was a retired U.S. Mail carrier of twenty-five years in the Egeria-Odd area.

Fetzer and Lillian are the parents of four children:

2. Sherman Emery Walker (1927 1980)
3. Jethro Darrell Walker (1933 - )
4. Thomas Jefferson Walker (1946 - )
